Program Overview

The Sweet Water cheerleading squad is a spirit program whose mission is to inspire school spirit, represent the student body, and support our athletic teams and community programs. We have two teams: a varsity team made up of girls from grades 9-12 and a junior high team made up of girls in grades 7 and 8. Cheerleading is a year-round commitment as these girls try out in February, fundraise in the spring, practice and attend camp in the summer, and then cheer during football and basketball seasons.

Cheer Camp Awards

Sweet Water's Varsity and JV squads have received awards from UCA Camps for several years.

 

In their 2025 UCA camp at the University of Alabama, the received the following awards -- Varsity: 4th Place Camp Dance 4th Place Sideline 5th Place Cheer 5th Place Spirit Routine All-Americans: Addison Griffith, Jamirah Lucy, Lily Luker, Mallory Rager
JV Girls had their camp at Sweet Water this year. JV All-Americans: Addy Copeland, Cheyenne Hudson, Millie Griffith, Shaniya Turner

 

School Spirit

Because we are a small school, many of these girls are also involved in other extracurricular activities. Cheerleaders from this past year were a part of Volleyball, Softball, Basketball, Drama, Band, Beta Club, NHS, Peer Helpers, FCA, and SGA. We are very grateful for their commitment to our school and community!
